The Executive Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Hon. Ifedayo Abegunde Sunday (ABENA), has called on youths and other stakeholders in the Niger Delta to mobilise massive support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Abegunde, who spoke in Arogbo, Ese-Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State, said the economic reforms of the Tinubu administration were beginning to yield positive results, urging Nigerians to remain supportive of the Federal Government’s policies.
He spoke on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at a reception organised in his honour following his conferment with a traditional chieftaincy title by the Agadagba of Arogbo Kingdom, His Imperial Majesty, Ibe-Pere Zacchaeus Doubra Egbunu, Opukutu III.
The monarch had earlier conferred the titles of Ebitelemowei and Ebitelemoere of Arogbo Kingdom on Abegunde and his wife, Mrs. Olajumoke Abegunde, respectively.
The Agadagba commended the NDDC executive director for his humility, commitment to public service and exemplary leadership, charging him to continue to make meaningful contributions to the development of the Niger Delta.
Speaking at the reception, Abegunde also unveiled an empowerment initiative for youths in the Niger Delta, describing youth development as critical to the sustainable development of the region.
He urged the youths to take an active interest in the political process and turn out in large numbers to vote for the re-election of President Tinubu in 2027.
The event, held in Arogbo Community, attracted senior government officials, politicians, traditional rulers, captains of industry, community leaders and other stakeholders from across the region.
