A former member of House of Representatives, Hon Joseph Akinlaja has kicked against the taking over a criminal case pending before a Chief Magistrate Court by the office of Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice.

Akinlaja, had lodged a criminal charge with the State Police Command against five persons for alleged defamation of character, forgery and felony.

The suspects including Stella Akinbobola, Akanji Ganiyu Olayinka, Adetoye Okunade Francis, Olajide Festus Ajayi and Olusegun Akinbobola were arraigned over six count charge before Chief Magistrate.Musa AL- Yunus

Olajide Festus Ajayi ‘M’ and Olusegun Akinbobola ‘M’all 0f Ondo and others still at large; on or about the 6th day of January, 2022 at Ondo within the Within the jurisdiction of this Court did conspire to commit felony to wit: forgery and thereby C0mmitted an offence contrary to and punishable under section 516, Criminal Code Cap 37 Vol. 1, Lawsof Ondo State of Nigeria 2006.

COUNT 11: That you Stella Akinbobola ‘F’, AkanjiGaniyuOlayinka ‘M’, AdetoyeOkunade Francis ‘M’, Olajide Festus Ajayi ‘M’ and OIusegunAkinbobola ‘M’ all of Ondo and others still at large on or about the 6th day of January, 2022 at Ondo within the within the jurisdiction of this Court did conspire to falsely charge one Hon. Joseph Akinlaja and 17 other persons to have committed criminal offences which you know they did not commit and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under section 125, Criminal Code Cap 37 Vol. 1, Lawsof Ondo State of Nigeria 2006.

COUNT III:That you Stella Akinbobola ‘F’, AkanjiGaniyuOlayinka ‘M’, AdetoyeOkunade Francis ‘M’, Olajide Festus Ajayi ‘M’ and OlusegunAkinbobola ‘M’ all of Ondo and others still at large on or about the 6th day of January, 2022 within the jurisdiction of this Court did give false information to Police Officers of SWAT Unit upon which they acted by arresting one Hon. Joseph Akinlaja and 17 others for offences not committed and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under section 125A, Criminal Code Cap 37 Vol.‘ 1, Lawsof Ondo State of Nigeria 2006.

COUNT IV: That you Akanji Ganiyu Olayinka ‘M’ of Ondo on or about the 7th day of February, 2022 at Ondo within the within the jurisdiction of this Court did forge a medical report dated 07/02/2022 for the purpose 0f indicting one Hon. Joseph Akinlaja and 17 others and thereby committed an 0ffence CO’ltrary to and punishable under Section 467 (4)(e) of the Criminal Code Cap 37 Vol. 1 Laws of Ondo State of Nigeria 2006. ‘ ‘
