….says Ikare does not involve in opposition politics
As the people of Akoko North East/ North West Federal Constituency prepare for the bye-election in the zone as scheduled by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the Olukare of Ikare, Oba Akadiri Saliu Momoh seems to have declared support for the Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Hon Ifeoluwa Ehindero.
During one of the well attended party meetings in the ancient town, Chief Kiadi Ekunusi the Olokedigan who claimed to have spoken the mind of the Olukare declared that Ikare has the history of supporting the government of the day and as a result the Olukare is in support of the. All Progressives Congress candidate, Ifeoluwa Ehindero. The Chief further claimed that his pronouncement followed his private discussion with the Olukare to clear the air on the monarch’s rumoured endorsement of a certain candidate of rhe opposition party who is of Ikare extraction.
The teeming members of the All Progressives Congress went into wild jubilation when the highly respected Ikare Chief raised the hands or Ife Ehindero publicly as a sign of endorsement
