The women wing of the Nigeria Union Of Journalist, National Association Of Women Journalists Ondo State chapter ,NAWOJ has paid a courtesy visit on the the newly appointed Chairman of the Ondo State Micro Credit Agency, Olori Oyinkansola Aroloye in her office on Monday.
The chairperson, Mrs Tola Gbademosi said the visit became necessary so as to show appreciation to the Governor, Hon Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for appointing women and considering the personality of, Olori Oyinkansola Aroloye as the Chairman , saying, a right ped has been put into a right hole.
She also said that the women came to congratulate the newly appointed Chairman and to show their readiness in supporting her to spur higher.
Gbademosi therefore urged the Chairman to consider granting assistance to women in the state mostly the NAWOJ members who engaged in private businesses and willing to expand.
She enlisted the benefits attached to helping a woman , which will reduce unemployment in the society and as well, build a better society through assistance and helping hands to their spouses .
Gbadamosi also said that help should also be extended to the widows among them who have been struggling to make both ends meet paying bills and meeting up with other sociatal issues confronting them
While responding, the Chairman , Olori Oyinkansola Aroloye said she was excited having the woman in her office saying gone are the days when women works are limited to the kitchen and other house chores
She urged the women to encourage themselves and get involved in a second address so as to meet up with the economy situation of the country.
She mainly emphasized that, women should make sure that they have something reasonable doing and that they should join hands to assist their spouses and eventually build a society that we can all proud of.
Aroloye therefore assured that the agency is ready to assist women who engage in businesses , also advised them to form an association that the agency will recognize, through which they can access any loan or grants available to them anytime and any day.
She assured the women that,the agency is set to take care of wives of the fallen heroes among them ,that is the wives of Journalists who died in line of duty .
She urged them to form an association assuring them of grants and loans to assist the widows in pursuing their personal businesses and achieving their aims
The Association, NAWOJ therefore assured the Chairman that they will use the power of pen available to them to support the agency under the Chairman’s watch and make her succeed in the new assignment.
