Leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress APC Screening committee on Friday at the Blantyre National secretariat of the party respectively asked Chief Olusola Oke to take a bow and go during the screening exercise.
The Screening process which threw many of the aspirants into serious doubt over the assurance whether they would be favoured or not.
The Well organized and conducted exercise brought fear into the minds of some supporters over the possibility of their principals being considered to fly the flag bearer of the party.
It will be recalled that all the sixteen aspirants including the governor were summoned to the party secretariat for a thorough screening over their experiences in politics and the pedigree each and every one of them possess in running the affairs of the state.
However, Olusola Oke according to a source confirmed that, he is seeing as a bridge builder and as well as unifier, who will unite all party members across boards including other aspirants if he eventually emerges as the flag bearer of the party in the forthcoming election in the state.
Moreover ,most of the aspirants at the party secretariat believe it is only chief Oke who could bring them together if they are not picked at the end of the day.
As usual in the coming week, alliance and re alliance may start taking the airwaves so as to pitch tent with winner and the flag bearer.
