The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in Ondo State, Hon Agboola Ajayi has emphasized that lives and property of the people of the state will be given adequate enhancement.
Agboola Ajayi, said this on Friday on a national television during an interview that, the protection of the people remains paramount and sacrosanct to him and his government if he becomes the governor come November 16,2024.
” the protection of lives and property of my people in the state takes the lion share of my responsibilities” he said
” I was part of those that formed Amotekun, so we will strengthen the corps for effective performance “
Agbo, as popularly called by the people of the state also buttress on the available resources in the riverine areas of the state that will be tapped most especially, linking the largest coastal line to Lagos and other parts of the world in boasting the economy .
He further iterated that, his government will keep everybody busy as a result of economic buoyancy he is going to bring to bear.
” honestly speaking, am going to keep everybody busy doing legitimate work when the sea ports and other viable things are working “
” all I need is the cooperation of all and sundry to make the dream a reality ” Agbo said
It Would be recalled that, he emerged as the party flag bearer of the party on Thursday in a free fair and credible primary election that was conducted and properly supervised by the deputy governor of Bayelsa State Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo where he pulled the highest votes of 264.
Agbo was the former deputy governor of Ondo State during the first tenure of the immediate past governor, Rotimi Akeredolu in 2016-2020
