Stakeholders across major political parties in the state , mostly from the central senatorial district have applauded the governorship candidate of the New Nigeria Party NNPP, in the forth coming Guber poll in Ondo State, Barr Olugbenga Edema for picking their son from Akure, as his running mate.
While giving his point of view over the matter, Mr Gabriel Olajide Owoyemi,an elder and indigene of Ifedore local government applauded the NNPP for considering Dr (Barr) Rotimi Emmanuel Adeyemi, a retired local government official and a through son of Akure,in Akure south local government area of the state as the new Nigeria People’s party deputy governorship candidate.
He described the decision of the party as a good step that will be rewarded with votes during the election.
Also , another prominent Akure leader ,Prince of Igunshin in Akure North Local government,Prince (Comrade ) Sunday Temitope Akintide Gbangba commended the party NNPP on the choice of Dr (Barr) Rotimi Emmanuel Adeyemi as the Deputy Governorship candidate of the party..
He noted that it is only the party NNPP among all political parties in the state that has chosen an indigene of Akure as Deputy Governorship candidate from the Akure speaking communities in the state.
He emphasized that the party has chosen a right ,worthy tested trusted ,refined and reliable personality of no mean repute.
He therefore urged people to vote massively for the party in taking home the victory come November 16, 2024.
Moreso, Egbe Omo Oke Aro a social philanthropist group in Akure south Local government commended the decision taken by the NNPP of making Dr (Barr) Rotimi Emmanuel Adeyemi as the running mate to the governorship candidate Hon Barr Olugbenga Edema.
