In a significant show of support, representatives of Okada riders in Ondo State have pledged their unwavering loyalty to Otunba Bamidele Akingboye (OBA). The Okada riders expressed their belief in OBA’s capacity to lead Ondo State out of its current political challenges, recognising his leadership gesture and qualities.
The meeting, which took place at the SDP candidate’s residence in Akure, saw Okada riders expressing their readiness to mobilise not only their members but also other artisans and individuals from various walks of life in support of OBA. The coordinator of the Okada riders, Oriolowo Sunday, highlighted the unique position of Okada riders, who interact with a diverse range of people daily, as a powerful force for grassroots mobilisation.
Present at the meeting were several key figures, including Otunba Charles Farimoyo, SDP Chieftain; Mr. Lanre Ogidan, Chief of Staff to OBA; Prophet Joshua Oguntuwase, another SDP Chieftain; and Mr. Jimmy Akinyan, the SDP State Secretary. Their presence underscored the broad-based and growing support for OBA’s leadership.
In his address, Oriolowo lauded OBA’s impressive profile and leadership qualities, which have inspired confidence among Okada riders and beyond. He reiterated their commitment to working tirelessly to ensure OBA’s vision for Ondo State is realised, promising to engage with various communities and groups to rally support.
Otunba Bamidele Akingboye expressed his gratitude for the endorsement, acknowledging the vital role Okada riders play in the socio-economic landscape of Ondo State. He reaffirmed his dedication to inclusive governance and the upliftment of all citizens, emphasising that their support is crucial to the collective effort of transforming the state.
