The Concerned people of ondo state have condemned the allocation allotted to the state House Of Assembly members on phone calls in the 2025 BUDGET tagged ” Budget of Recovery”
The Approved Budget allowed all Honourable members of the Assembly to spend Two hundred Million naira only(#200,000,,00)) on phone calls and also the speaker calls to gulf Two hundred and eighty million naira (#280,000,00) in the fiscal year among other expenses accrued to the Assembly including travelling and Security.
However, in quest to know the reactions of the people over the budget allocation of phone calls to the Assembly members and the benefits to the citizenry, opinion views condemned the action saying, such an act never solve the problems being encountered by the people of the state.
Mr Tunde Adetunji, a civil servant in one of the Ministries said that, the allocation is nothing but misplacement of priorities on the part of the Assembly members and that of the government.
Adetunji said further that, the constituencies of the members are nothing to xome-by in terms of infrastructure, Education and the rest.
Mrs Ajayi Olanireti , a retired civil servant said ,it’s a pity that we are where we are today in the state. According to her ” she said the state is the least developing state in terms of infrastructure in the south west ,that the assembly members can not fight for this but rather to be sharing the common wealth of the people.
In overview , a public affairs analyst, Timi Apakwo said , the entire system is down that the so-call- law makers have nothing to offer again in anal of things
