All seem not well within the camp of the former Governor of the state, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko and that of Hon Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, the current governor, over total neglect of his (Dr Mimiko) lieutenants in the recent appointments.
It would be recalled that some prominent followers of the former Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko crossed to the running All Progressives Congress APC from the People’s Democratic Party PDP with a sealed plan to give respect and honour to the former Governor for his supports in installing the current governor.
However, the two major committed “boys” of the former Governor could not be considered and also two times Reps member has also been dropped and not considered for any appointment whatsoever.
The lieutenants known to be committed and true loyalists to Dr Olusegun Mimiko , who are so faithful and committed to the cause of the former Governor have been sidelined and dropped.
Moreso, it is never new in the political system of Nigeria that, anyone who has diligently supported a political party and it’s candidate to power ,in a way will be compensated by either cash or kind but in most cases , paying back in a kind manner pays , because it is a way of leaving behind a legacy and empowering the people.
Now, the list of much awaited cabinet members have been released but a single lieutenant of Dr Olusegun Mimiko was not enlisted .
The political class in the state have been wondering why the governor,Hon Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa refused considering none of the allies of the ex governor.
Well, so far twelve (12) Commissioner-nominees have been presented to the state House Of Assembly for scrutiny/ screening with the initial two Commissioners on board , Commissioner for Finance and that of Justice, left with four more.
Furthermore, some other camps of that of the former Aspirants like that of Chief Olusola Oke , Mr Wale Akinterinwa, Mr Ebenezer Alabi, the former PDP Chairman in the state ,all dropped their followers and supporters for the incumbent governor.
