All is now set for the House of Reps Primaries of the all Progressives Congress APC in Akoko South East/West Federal Constituency.
At the early hours on Monday, one of the Aspirants complained that the delegates List, which should have been opened given to the contestants to know who and who are coming for the election,has not been given to them nor been placed on board for assessment.
It was as well said that ,one of the Aspirants, who is seeing as government anointed candidate , has been given the list and that he has camped the delegates in his house at Akungba.
However, while confirming the situation from.the Director of Publicity of the party in the state, Steve Otaloro authoritatively revealed to Germane reporters ( GR ) that, the Independent National Electoral Commission and the party Officials have arrived St Patrick College ,Oka, the venue of the primaries. With the presence of heavy security personnel.
Otaloro said that the delegates List has been made available to the contestants prior to the rumour initially peddled that the old list has been hijacked by some people.
Moreso, GR learnt that those delegates that were camped at Akungba Akoko were made to sworn to a traditional oath that they would never play game with the votes meant for the “anointed candidate”
The expectations of the supporters of the Aspirants is that the exercise would go as expected so that Zamfara Zaga will not eventually play out in the area where a competent court of law in the state declared that a certain party has no candidates in all positions across the state and automatically given chance to the opposition party.
It would be recalled that Mr Gboyega Adefarati was declared winner initially during the party primaries that was conducted at Dome in Akure which raised dust among the candidates that led to court litigation before it was rules by the court that INEC should conduct fresh primaries in the area and not Akure, the state capital.
