The Senator representing Ondo central Senatorial district of the state, Dr Ayo Akinyelure has been described as a serial liar by the state government over the rumour that emanated from him that the chocolate factory at Idanre has been sold off for less than #100m
Briefing Journalists at the weekend on the issue, the senior special adviser to the governor on Agric & Agric businesses ,Pastor Akin Olotu said the senator lied against the government and humanity.

According to him” Senator Ayo Akinyelure allegations are baseless and it’s becoming unbecoming of person of his caliber’
“It is nothing but a clear imminent loss of political relevance that has caused him the mischievous outburst”
Olotu said that , the factory was an uncompleted project inherited from the past administration which was completed by the incumbent using the same contractor of the past administration
He explained further that the state government had a mandate with the contractor to roll out chocolate from the factory on April 2nd 2020, unfortunately, the contractor couldn’t return to the country because of COVID-19 outbreak which he said the government continued to discuss with him on the need to return to the country for production.
Akin Olotu also said further that, another proposal was put up by the contractor when the pandemic pasisted demanding for another set of equipment including bringing in many other workers from the United States with humongous financial implications.
Moreso, he said the position of the state was that ,he should begin operation with what is on ground as the procurement and setting up were 100% done by him.
” When he insisted , he was told to source for fund using his company being a shareholder because the factory was 100% funded by the state government which he declined ” Olotu said
“Some Nigerians were put up to run the factory, they did exceedingly well technically but were not having the needed fund to take it over”

The leader on ground,Mr Robo Aduze in the factory died last year and the state government decided to advertise the factory for for outright sales or partnership in national and state newspapers calling for tenders as statutorily required which was done by the agency of the state government investment (ONDIPA)
Akinyelure did not do his findings before jumping out to cry fowl over what is not that the company has been sold for #100m.
We therefore call on the serving Senator to ask for forgiveness from God over his action against the government and the humanity, Akin Olotu said
