…80 Criminal elements paraded For other various offenses
Ondo state security network,codenamed Amotekun corps has arrested one Akinyemi Abiodun , an 18 year old boy on Friday at Ore- Okitipupa axis of the state over an attack done on a tricycle owner.
Akinyemi Abiodun and his gang snatched the tricycle popularly known as “Keke Marwa” from the owner and took it to Lagos which they eventually sold off at the rate of three hundred thousand naira (#300,000) to one Emmanuel ,who bought the tricycle from them.
Confessing to the crime, Abiodun explained that,he and his members of his gang , Dune, Ope and two others accosted the tricycle owner and snatched it away from him to Lagos where the buyer was already waiting.
‘ it is true that we snatched the tricycle from the owner along Ore – Okitipupa area , with members of my gang’
” we drove it down to Lagos to sell it at #300,000 to one Mr Emmanuel before we were tracked and caught by the men of Amotekun”
Speaking on the development, the Corps Commander, Akogun Ade Adeleye said that the moment the information got to his table, his men took it upon themselves to apprehend the perpetrators through the modern day gadgets provided by the state government and tracked down the boys in Lagos.
Akogun Adeleye said further that in the last three weeks , over 80 Criminal elements have been arrested in the state for other various offenses ranging from burglary to cultism.
He therefore advised members of the public to be weary of the Okada , most especially those who cover faces , that they could be kidnappers including the taxi they bud during this period.
