The immediate past Minister of State for Niger Delta Affairs, Sen. Donald Omotayo Alasoadura has appreciated President Muhammadu Buhari over his approval of the reconstruction of the dilapidated Akure- Ado Ekiti road.
The former Minister also showed his gratitude to the Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC, Malam Mele Kyari for the inclusion of the road with the projects to be financed and handled by NNPC.
He said that the Group Chief Executive Officer did not turn his ( the ex Minister’s) plea down over the yearnings and agitations of the people of the two states when he visited him in March last year to include the road in the projects to be financed by NNPC.
” I sincerely appreciate the GCEO of NNPC for bringing our discussion to bear over the road when I visited him “
” I Recall approaching the GCEO in March last year and he promised to assist, thank you brother, God bless you.”
Alasoadura also eulogised the approval of President Buhari and the Federal Executive Council for having the two states at heart over the road.
He mentioned that the two states will continue to appreciate as the reconstruction of the road commences in earnest which will surely bring succur and relief to the people and travellers plying the road .
” The very important road will give a lot of relief to my people who have for years endured the suffering caused by this extremely bad and unmotorable road. Thank you Mr President
” While we await the resumption of the new contractors on site, i urge the people, especially motorists to show appreciable level of understanding for some inconveniences they may experience in the course of the road construction”
