
Pandemonium erupted in Ibadan ,Oyo State capital on Friday as youths tripped out in their large numbers to protest over what was supposed to be a peaceful protest at gate area of the city which later turned out to be violent resulting attacking some commercial banks and Police Station

The protest which started around eleven o’clock in the morning with some Youths calling on the Federal government to find a lasting solution to the problems faced with the new naira notes and the lingering fuel crisis.
Agodi police post was touched and set on fire during the protest while some commercial banks were also vandalized.
Report says security operatives positioned to prevent breakdown of law and order allegedly fled for safety from the scene of the protest.
The Protesters majorly youths armed with weapons later gained entrance into the Oyo state Secretariat .

The report reaching us indicated that a police officer that tried to prevent them from entering the governor’s office was attacked and severely injured and rushed to an undisclosed hospital.

When Contacted , The Oyo state police public relations officer Adéwálé Oshifeso said he would brief the media later
