…Says 54,850 people on govt pay roll

Ondo state government has said that those involve in short-changing the state and taking two salaries will soon meet their waterloo in no distance time.

This assertion was made on Wednesday during a special programme and interactive session organized by the state Radiovision Corporation OSRC with the state Head of Service,HoS Pastor Kayode Ogundele as special guest.

While fielding questions from Journalists on state of things in the civil service, Ogundele said that everything has been put in place to fish out those that are engaging in the sharp practices and that, they will soon be shown the way out of the service in due course as government pays over ₦6 billion naira monthly on salary of workers and pensioners, saying that 54,850 earners in all.

The head of service also mentioned that ,the new education trust fund beeing introduced by the government should be embraced so as to take the system to the next level.

He urged parents to cooperate with the government in giving the best to their wards so as to achieve the desire goal academically.

The Head of Service also stated that the waste management in the state though seems challenging due to the expansion coming on our towns and cities , pleaded that people should bear with government as everything will be done within the possible time to do the needful in that regards.

The host, and the Chairman of the state owned media organizations Mr Kunle Adebayo, thanked the HoS for his brilliant ways in tackling the questions and ability to give responses of government to the people on germane questions begging for answers in the minds of the citizens.

However,the Chairman said that the briefing was targeted at bridging the gap between the government and the governed.

Kunle Adebayo therefore appreciated the Head of Service for bringing out time out of his tight schedule to brief the people of the state extensively on activities of government for good three hours which over 250 questions were asked and as well answered.
