
History made itself on Thursday at Dome in Akure, the Ondo State capital as the Peoples Democratic Party PDP in the state conducted its primary election orderly under the chairmanship of Laurence.. .., the deputy governor of Bayelsa state.
The exercise which was well coordinated and perfectly conducted with 621 delegates across the eighteen local governments.
The ballot papers issued for the election according to the chairman of the governorship primary said in total was 621 and all were well exhausted by the delegates.
The election started at exactly 3:50 Pm after the accreditation of delegates and later allowed the delegates into the main auditorium of the hall for voting.
Meanwhile, the Bayelsa state deputy governor had earlier assured the people that, the election would be free, fair and credible in which it will stand as a template for other political parties to follow.
However, voting ended at exactly 5 : 00pm. Counting and sorting commenced immediately.

AJAYI Agboola , former Deputy governor of the state, having pulled the highest votes of 264 ,declared winner of the Primary Election and becomes the flag bearer of the party for the governorship election in Ondo State
