Governors under the aegis of the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF) has said that the N60,000 minimum wage for workers is not sustainable and cannot see the light of the day in their respective states
In a statement issued on Friday by Halimah Salihu Ahmed, director of media and public affairs for NGF, the governors said the proposed minimum wage of N60,000 “cannot fly”.as a result of slim income coming to the states from the Federal government and as well, the internally generated revenue of them all can’t cater for the wage.
The governors submitted that, the workers will have to make their demands realistic,so that all income will not go with the payment of minimum wage
