No one could specifically give the number of travellers that were abducted on Monday on a Siena Bus heading to Abuja were between Akunu Akoko, in the Akoko North East Local Government Area, of Ondo state and Ayere, in the Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State,
One of the residents in Akunu Akoko, confirmed that combined teams of soldiers, police, Amotekun, local vigilantes, and hunters are currently combing the forest to rescue the victims.
The residents of the area have therefore urged all security agencies to put in their efforts in bringing those kidnapped alive and apprehend the culprits.
Efforts to reach the monarch of Akunu Akoko, Oba Olufemi Saba, proved abortive as the situation put the entire community under fear.
