As the coast becoming clearer politically, “the big men” in the political space of Ondo State are set to dump the People’s Democratic party PDP and join the All Progressives Congress APC in no distance time.
Otunba Oyewole Fasawe,the close ally and personal friend to the former president Olusegun Obasanjo , the former governor of the state,Dr Olusegun Mimiko,who also served as Housing Minister under Obasanjo, Ebenezer Omotayo Alabi, the former PDP chairman in the state and their supporters are fully set to move massively to the rulling All Progressives Congress APC.
The information at GermaneReporters ‘ disposal indicated that, all plans are said to have been concluded and a date is about to be fixed for the epoch making event in Akure, the state capital.
The movement of the big wigs of the opposition to the rulling APC is not unconnected with the refusal of the candidate of the opposition party, Hon Agboola Ajayi refusing to bow to some pressure from the leaders of the party both within and outside the state.
It was reliably gathered that, Hon Agboola Ajayi was alleged to have been robbing shoulders and not willing to accord the leaders the necessary respect they deserve part of which gave birth to the counter – statement issued few days ago by the state publicity secretary of the party,Ikantu Peretei, nulifying the choice of Dr Eddy Olafeso as campaign committee chairman of the candidate.
Another confirmed report indicated that, a prominent Akure son, who is also a member of the opposition, is bicker towards the attitude of the party’s candidate.
Senator Bode Olajumoke though unconfirm report said he too may join the train of those who are decamping with his supporters to the APC
