Ever since the emergence of Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa as the governor of the state on December 27, 2023, the women in the state have been looking up to the governor to allow the office of Her Excellency function like that of his Predecessors.
However, both market women and Children in the state have been on high spirits seeing Her Excellency, Mrs Oluwaseun Aiyedatiwa in action, in making life better and giving hope to the less privileged in the society.
It is a known fact that, the benefits attached to the existence of the office on women and Children are in no small measure.
Empowerment Initiatives
- Financial Inclusion Program: Provide advisory role to women in accessing microloans , savings accounts, and financial literacy training to help market women manage their finances effectively.
- Skills Development Workshops: Offer training sessions most cases on business management, marketing, and product development to enhance their entrepreneurial skills.
- Market Infrastructure Improvement: Upgrade market facilities, through mediation with His Excellency to make the place worthy for transaction including sanitation, lighting, and storage, to create a more conducive trading environment.
Support Services
- Mentorship Program: Pair market women with experienced entrepreneurs or mentors who can offer guidance and support.
- Health and Wellness Services: Provide access to healthcare services, health education, and wellness programs to improve their overall well-being.
- Childcare Support: Establish childcare facilities or provide subsidies for childcare services to help market women balance work and family responsibilities.
Market Access and Promotion
- Digital Marketplace: Create an online platform for market women to showcase and sell their products, expanding their customer base and increasing sales.
- Marketing and Branding Support: Provide training and resources to help market women develop their brands and market their products effectively.
- Trade Fairs and Exhibitions: Organize trade fairs and exhibitions to showcase their products and connect with potential buyers.
Advocacy and Policy Support
- Advocacy for Market Women’s Rights: Advocate for policies and laws that protect the rights and interests of market women.
- Policy Support for Small Businesses: Work with government agencies to develop policies and programs that support small businesses and entrepreneurs.
- Capacity Building for Market Leaders: Provide training and capacity-building programs for market leaders to enhance their leadership and advocacy skills.

Therefore, the women in the state are eager to welcome Her Excellency, Mrs Oluwaseun Aiyedatiwa, the wife of Ondo State governor to their midst for a better life and Better Ondo State
