It was never expected or imagined that some unscrupulous elements would on 31st ,December , 2025 decided to steal the joy and the already planned arrangements of people of Ipele ,in Owo local government area of ondo by descending heavily on the police station beautifully built and presented to the Nigeria Police Force by a known family in honour of their late Father(Dairos of Ologunmajejo) The station was touched ,set ablazed though with no life lost.But it is so disdain that Hon. Timehin Adelegbe, a member representing Owo / Ose Federal constituency, where Ipele belongs, could play politics with such situation by hurriedly donating #5m to a community he has long abandoned even the wooden hall he was building has caved -in.
Coming to the place to donate money immediately sounded funny ,amazing and embarrassing to the youths and elders of the land .The question we should ask him is that, did the situation call for donation?
Also, his attitudes indicated that, tomorrow any body can just wake from the wrong side of the bed , and set public property ablaze believing ,money will be donated for public recognition and unnecessary appraisal.
Moreso, rebuilding the structure should primarily be the work of the Police service Commission with assistance of well wishers in the community who in their own volution can donate generously,after all, a family donated the burnt station
The ” show of public wealth” by the law maker indicated he is doing the unnecessary therefore, he should allow Nigeria Police Force investigate the rationale behind the dastardly act before throwing money around
The Concerned people of Ondo North Senatorial and good people of Ipele condemned the unwarranted donation .
The entire security agencies in ondo state are seriously working to unravel those behind the act.
Politics should not be applied to all things ,most especially now that the Country is facing security challenges
