It remains mysterious to the people of Ominifun , in Idanre local Government area of Ondo state as a 46 year old man , a father of two , died while trying to rescue a man whose phone fell inside a well in the area.
The deceased ,Kayode Oluwakinse popularly known as Super , was said to have heard a loud noise very close to his house early in the week and decided to check what could have caused the noise, on getting to the scene , he was told that someone had entered the well, and could not come out, he entered the well with a ladder to rescue but died and could not come out alive
According to the wife , who spoke exclusively with Germane Reporters explained that her husband was inside with her and their two children eating when he heard the loud voice to know what was going on outside but could not come back to us again
” we were all together inside our house when we heard a loud voice outside ,my husband moved out to check what was happening”
“he was told that one Chinedu, our family friend had gone to pick his phone that fell inside the well but on his way back after picking the phone ,he fell back and died “
“On hearing this , my husband removed his cloth and slippers ,tried to rescue Chinedu, he too entered the well even with ladder and rings inside the well , he could not come out alive’ she said
Further more , it was also learnt that , the third man who wanted to rescue , Kayode Oluwakinse , was stuck at the middle of the well, loosed consciousness , despite the rope around his waist for easy access in & out of the well.
” the third man who went inside the well, to rescue my husband loosed consciousness in the middle of the well while descending for the rescue “
he was hurriedly dragged up by on- lookers before he got down the well” The wife of the deceased narrated
As at the time of filling this report, the third man is said to have survived the scenerio and is undergoing treatment though assisting the Police in further investigation.
