Professor Simidele Odimayo, the Special Adviser on Health to Ondo state Governor who is also the supervising head of the Ondo State Contributory Health Commission celebrated his birthday recently on Sunday 22nd March 2026.
Being the first working day, Dr Abiodun Oyeneyin, the Director General led some top officials of the commission to the office of the Special Adviser on Health to the Governor. The brief visit gave the Director General the opportunity to appreciate Prof Simidele Odimayo for his desired leadership to the commission. The Commission presented a birthday cake to the celebrant with prayers.
The Ondo State Contributory Health Commission is responsible for coordinating, supervising and regulating health insurance activities in Ondo state. They guarantee financial access to quality health care services.
With the leadership of Prof Odimayo, the various schemes of the Contributory Health Commission have been revitalized:
- The BHCPFP (Ilera Loro) scheme is designed for the vulnerable group.
- The ORANGHIS is designed for the civil servants, political office holders, informal sector, retirees and students.
- The Abiyamo and Maternal and Child Health Scheme is designed for the reduction of maternal and infant mortality in Ondo state by providing free ante natal, delivery, caesarean section and post natal care for pregnant women and children under five.
These and more are the fantastic activities of the ODCHC in ensuring quality health care delivery to the good people of Ondo state.
The Director of Finance and Administration of the commission, Mrs Foluke Olakanye presented the birthday cake on behalf of the commission and wished the celebrant long life, prosperity and strength to celebrate more years ahead.
Prof Simidele Odimayo appreciated the commission for such kind gesture and for the critical support they give to the residents of Ondo state. He lauded the entire staff of the commission for working efficiently and tirelessly to fulfill the OUR EASE Agenda of His Excellency Gov Dr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.
In attendance were the Director General, Dr Abiodun Oyeneyin, Mrs Foluke Olakanye(DFA), Barr. Cathering Ogunjebi (Director of Legal Services), Pharm Ebikeeyen Ofiyesinka (Head Network Mgt) Mrs Ajoke Olorunegan (DDFA) and Dr Oluwole Ekundayo (Head Planning, Research and Statistics). Also in the office of the Special Adviser on Health were: Dr DZ Gbelela Administrative S.A, Ilesanmi Owodogba, SA Political and Ben Ikuejamofo (Head of Media&Publicity).
