Bank of Industries (BOI) and Ondo State Micro Credit Agency OSMA on Wednesday set to collaborate on ways to make life better for the Citizenry through the disbursement of loans to individuals and organizations that will be ready to make proper use of the funds.
In an extensive joint discussion between the Bank and the Agency at the office of the Bank in Alagbaka, Akure, the State Capital, where certain issues pertaining to the development of Industries and small scale businesses in the state were discussed.
The Bank Manager , Christian Ekpeyon appreciated the Chairman of the Agency for her efforts in making businesses boom where young and old can be encouraged getting something reasonable doing and creating jobs for others.
He said further that, proper documentations and engagement will still be done between the two organizations to curtail the activities of some Nigerians who do involve in applying for loan and fail to repay the money collected.
He emphasized that,the collaboration will help a long way not only for the betterment of the people of the state,but as well , to reduce poverty in the society.
While responding, the Chairman of the Agency, Olori Oyinkansola Aroloye showed appreciation for the kind reception of the Bank the agency and towards the idea, the innovation being put in place to improve the welfare of all
” We are glad being here today and for the reception accorded us in making life better for our people, so as to wipe off poverty in the land” Aroloye said
The Chairman assured the Bank that, no stone will be left unturned in making sure that, every beneficiary made to pay back through the new online application introduced by the Agency which will include the Bio Data Verification Number (BVN) of beneficiaries.
“Our agency has deviced a new means where the BVN of every beneficiary will be needed before disbursement”
“This efforts will go a long way recovering all loans from any defaulter whatsoever”
However, the Manager had earlier said that the Bank was established to create Jobs , make life easy and comfortable for Nigerians who are willing to expand businesses
” We are organization ready to assist and creat jobs , make life better & easy for the people” he said
The two organizations agreed that no one will be assisted on a platter of gold without meeting up with the already established criteria
