No fewer than two different groups visited office of the Chairman , Ondo State Micro Credit Agency, Olori Oyinkansola Aroloye on Thursday to familiarize themselves with the agency in getting loans for their teaming members.
The small scale women farmers Organization of Nigeria SWOFON who paid a courtesy call on the agency’s office in Akure, the Ondo State capital appreciated the governor, Hon Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for chosen a woman who knows her onions into the position for the agency.
The leader of the female farmers Organization, Mrs Oyediji Bukola said the governor has put the right peg in the right hole for the people of Ondo in chosen Olori Oyinkansola Aroloye as the Chairman, considering her unprecedented record thus far.
She therefore pleaded with the government to support the women farmers, who believe so well in cultivation, rearing of animals and engaging in some other agricultural businesses that can help reducing poverty and hunger in the society.
The Coordinator of the Organization, Mrs Oyediji said they have branches across the states of the federation with the main aim of feeding the nation through the works of their hands
Another group, St, Gabriel Skill Acquisition and Empowerment Foundation based in Akure under the leadership of Hon Adebayo Ayodele Gabriel also engaged the Chairman of the Agency in assisting the members of the group through poverty Alleviation agenda set on ground to acquire the needed materials for the good of his people by the agency.
Adebayo said , the Foundation is out to make life better through procurement of tools and other essential materials for the people of the society.
He applauded the Governor for not making mistake in chosen a right hand to steer the ship of the Agency for the betterment of Ondo State
While speaking with the groups, the Director of Administration of the agency DFA Mr Adewale Alonge appreciated the coming of the groups in believing in the agency and what they all intend benefitting which the agency is ready to boast and encourage everyone ready to make the state great in accordance with Mr governor’s vision for the people of the state, making life better to the fullest
In her response, the Chairman of the agency, Olori Oyinkansola Aroloye also appreciated the groups mostly the women for chosen the path of being farmers and encourage them to march -on for better days are ahead of them.
Aroloye further said that the doors of the Agency is opened to everyone but that the office has changed its plan of refusing to give loan to groups but rather an individual in a group, do verifiable checks and findings on such individual before disbursement.
She emphasized that the governor, Dr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has decided to help and assist all traders , Artisans in the state so as to make life more meaningful and reduce poverty in the land.
She therefore pointed out that, the interest is almost nothing compare to what is obtainable elsewhere and that there will be loan APPLICATION of the Agency that will be downloaded by interested individuals
